Health Promotion Sciences engages the community to translate science into practice to inspire and change the world.  The mission of the Department of Health Promotion Sciences is to collaborate with communities in the southwestern United States in developing innovative responses to health challenges, and translating best practices globally.

The HPS 387 course explores gaps in health outcomes associated with race/ethnicity, social class, sex, sexuality, nationality and migration status. Societal, environmental, and institutional factors that underlay health disparities between and within nations will be considered.
