Cyclovia Tucson NEW Midtown Route!
April 28, 2013 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Loved Cyclovia on April 7th? Missed it but want to give Cyclovia a try?
Another event is on its way! Join us for the second Cyclovia event on April 28th, 2013 – 10 am to 3 pm.
This NEW route connects residents and neighbors in mid town from Glenn St. to Mountain Ave., Blacklidge to Dodge!
Cyclovia will give people from the greater Tucson region the chance to enjoy great weather, see neighbors, friends and people from throughout the area, and get a little exercise – all on city streets that will be closed to car traffic and open to walkers, joggers, cyclists, skaters and all other forms of people-powered movement.
Motor vehicles will be detoured from the route allowing everyone the freedom to enjoy “open streets” safely and comfortably. Cyclovia isn’t a race, parade or competition. Instead, it’s a chance to enjoy Tucson from a new perspective (outside of the car). Walk your dog, roller skate, blow bubbles. Have fun because during Cyclovia, the streets are yours!
The event is free, so bring a friend and your family. There will be lots of food for sale along the event. Several restaurants line the route at Campbell Ave. and E. Blacklidge Dr. Lots of food vendors will be set up along the route as well. You’ll deserve a big meal after going around our 5 mile linear route!
