Cyclovia Tucson was born in 2010. The very first event was a grassroots effort made possible with support and partnership from the City of Tucson, Pima County, YMCA, and the American Society of Landscape Architects. After seeing the appetite for this event to grow, nonprofit organization Living Streets Alliance stepped in to start building a strong foundation for open street in Tucson. What started as a small annual event with just 5,000 participants has now grown to a biannual program with a combined 70,000 participants and growing.
